How to get to Messe Hamburg

Travelling via the A7 and A24

Hamburg is well connected to the A7 and A24 motorways. If you are on the A24 motorway, exit at "Hamburg Horn". If you are coming from the A7, take the A1 at "Horster Dreieck" and continue to "HH-Centrum". Then simply follow the signs for "Messe / CCH".

However, we recommend using the public car parks on the outskirts of Hamburg. From the car parks, you can take the HVV public transport system or a trade fair shuttle bus.

Travelling by plane

Hamburg Airport can be reached not only from national but also from international cities. It is only 10 km away from the exhibition centre.

Hamburg Airport is well connected to the Hamburg public transport network. The S-Bahn entrance is opposite the ground floor of the airport.

Continue with the S-Bahn and U-Bahn from the airport to the trade fair centre

If you would like to go to the Messeeingang Ost, take the S1 to the main railway station. From there, take the S11, S21 or S31. Travel as far as Dammtor.

If you want to go to the Mitte or Süd entrance, take the S1 to Jungfernsteig. At Jungfernsteig, take the U2 and travel to the exhibition halls.

If you want to go to the Messeeingang West, take the S1 to Barmbek. In Barmbek, just take the U3 to Sternschanze (Messe).

Continue by taxi to the exhibition centre

If necessary, you can also simply take a taxi to your destination. If the traffic situation is good, the journey will take around 20 minutes. There is no fixed taxi price.

Costs: approx. 25€ from the airport to the exhibition centre

Travelling by train

Travelling by train is also convenient and, above all, climate-friendly. The Dammtor InterCity railway station is located directly next to Messe Hamburg. You can reach the East Entrance within 8 minutes on foot. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Messe Mitte entrance.

Continue with the S-Bahn

Would you like to go to the West or Centre Entrance but don't feel like walking? Why not simply take the S-Bahn? Take the S-Bahn lines S11, S21 and S31 to the Sternschanze stop.
