B2C

What is B2C?

B2C is the abbreviation for business-to-consumer. B2C refers to a business relationship between a company and private individuals.

Where does B2C appear?

In the "new media", B2C is particularly popular in the self-marketing variant. A company's own website is regarded as an advertising medium. Online retail is also part of the B2C area. Retail companies try to attract new customers via the online channel. Wherever companies are marketing to private individuals, this is classified as B2C.

What is special about B2C e-commerce?

As a rule, in the B2C sector, the manufacturer of the goods is also the seller. No intermediaries are used during the sale. In the e-commerce sector, sales are general and not individually tailored to a specific group of people. This measure is more likely to appeal to the general public.

What does B2C marketing look like?

Products in online retail are often sold with the help of affiliate marketing measures. Product descriptions and banners are provided so that affiliates can advertise certain products. They are used on various websites to draw attention to the relevant product or brand. Consumers can access the company's store via a link and purchase the product. The advertiser who referred the consumer to the manufacturer usually receives a commission if the sale is successful.

Business-to-Consumer also represented at trade fairs?

There are many trade fairs that are aimed specifically at consumers. Promoters (are usually employed on a short-term basis)) place on the B2C trade fairs present the products and services. Private individuals can look around the trade fairs, find out about new products at the promotional stands and make contact with the relevant companies.
