What is a giveaway?

Giveaways are advertising media. They are part of a company's merchandising. Promotional gifts are used for advertising purposes and are often given away to interested parties and customers at events and trade fairs.

Which giveaways are typical?

There are numerous promotional items that can be used by Students and part-time workers who work as promoters, hostesses/hosts and service staff in Munich and other citiesare given out. Some gifts have proven to be quite typical. These include:

  • Ballpoint pen with company logo and contact details
  • Calendar with advertising imprint
  • Lighters with imprint
  • Various small promotional items
  • Sweets and other sweets

All giveaways are provided by the organizers to the promotional staff and service staff so that they only have to hand out the items to the visitors. Sometimes the items are simply placed on an exhibition stand. Interested parties can then take the promotional items with them as required.

What is the purpose of giveaways?

Promotional items and giveaways are used in trade, industry and commerce to attract and retain customers. The advertising success of such items is difficult to prove. Studies suggest that promotional gifts without a specific reference to a company have a positive effect. Giveaways with a reference tend to convey an economic interest, which ultimately has a deterrent effect on guests and interested parties. Gifts with a financial benefit (vouchers) are also well received. The right choice of promotional gifts has a positive effect on sales, which is why companies should always weigh things up carefully.
