Are you interested in a job as a hostess? But what does a typical day at a trade fair look like? TRUST Promotion has summarized the professional experience of a trade fair hostess here.
EVERYDAY WORK OF A TRADE FAIR HOSTESS
"The alarm clock rings at around five in the morning on a trade fair day. After a shower and the appropriate styling with make-up and trade fair outfit, I grab my work shoes and running shoes (i.e. high heels and ballerinas). On the Trade fair I go straight to our stand, change my shoes and the first thing I get is the updated Briefing from the Chief hostess. Today I will be concentrating on the presentation of the powerful sports cars and will not be providing any additional service - that will be done by my colleague, who is already familiar with the range and the Catering has familiarized himself with.
I quickly hand a colleague a spare pair of tights (standard equipment in my trade fair handbag). And off we go: The crowds push through the trade fair aisle. As a hostess at a car show, I stand by the new model and occasionally open the trunk. My facial expression is always interested and impressed. A large crowd of people crowd around the car and me, taking photos of the two of us with their smartphones.
Presentation and information
My program as a fair hostess initially consists of pointing out the functionalities and advantages of the car, i.e. opening the trunk, getting into the car, carefully sliding onto the deep seat and getting out again with a tight skirt.
I am prepared to provide information in three languages - as required - about the model, the horsepower, the engine capacity, the sales launch and the price. Despite the heat, I smile at every new visitor to our stand. During the regular breaks, I eat and drink a snack and freshen up my make-up.
After eight hours, I make my way home, exhausted but happy about the successful day. The people were very eager to learn and I was well prepared - hopefully the next day at the fair will be just as enjoyable!
