Messe Hannover: Address, arrival, parking, hotels and tips

Hannover is a world-renowned trade fair location and organises numerous events every year. Messe Hannover is one of the world's leading trade fair organisers. Internationally renowned leading trade fairs are part of the trade fair company's programme.

Very well-known and popular leading trade fairs are INTERSCHUTZ, Hannover Messe and IAA Commercial Vehicles. Other interesting trade fairs include the eroFame erotic fair, Infa as the largest experience and shopping fair and the Cosmetica cosmetics fair.

The exhibition centre covers an area of 392,453 m² and includes 24 halls and pavilions. There is also an open-air area of 58,000 m². Due to its size, Messe Hannover has the largest exhibition centre in the world.

How to get to the Hanover Trade Fair Centre

Arrival via the motorway

Hannover is well connected to the motorway network. Whether from the north, east, south or west, Hanover is easily accessible from all directions via either the A7 or the A2 motorway.

From the A7 and A2 motorways, change to the A37 (also known as the B3 Messe-Schnellweg). Follow the signs for Hannover/Messe.

Travelling by plane

Hanover has an airport that is around 30 km from the exhibition centre. There is an S-Bahn station directly at the airport for onward travel.

Continue with the S-Bahn

Take the S5 line from the airport to Hanover Central Station. At the main station, take the underground line U8 in the direction of Messe Nord.

Continue by taxi to the exhibition centre

You can also order a taxi to take you from the airport to the trade fair centre. The journey takes around 30 minutes, depending on the volume of traffic.

Travelling by train

The centrally located main railway station in Hanover can be reached from all directions by the climate-friendly train. The station is 10 km from the exhibition centre.

Continue with the underground

Once you arrive at the station, you can continue your journey by underground. Take the U8 and get off at the Messe/Nord stop. The stop is located directly at the exhibition centre.

Continue with the S-Bahn

It is also possible to take the S-Bahn 4 in the direction of Hildesheim Hauptbahnhof to the Messe/Laatze stop. It is a 5-minute walk to the exhibition centre entrance.

Continue by taxi

Or get a taxi to take you further. With about 25€ you will have to pay for the journey.


Parking at the Hanover Exhibition Centre

There is no shortage of parking spaces at the largest exhibition centre. There are over 28,000 parking spaces for vehicles. There is a modern parking guidance system so that visitors can quickly find their way to the car parks.

Car parks Messe Nord

Numerous car parks (P1 to P10) are available to visitors at the Messe Nord entrance.

Cost: between €6 and €11 depending on the trade fair

Car parks Messe Ost

There is also a large number of car parks (P11 - P19) in the eastern area, which can be reached quickly.

Cost: between €6 and €11 depending on the trade fair

Car parks Messe Süd

Car parks P26 to P33 are available in the southern section of the Hannover Exhibition Centre.

Cost: between €6 and €11 depending on the trade fair

Car parks Messe West

There are further car parks in the western area of the exhibition centre. There are car parks P34 to P39 and car park P45 for parking vehicles.

Cost: between €6 and €11 depending on the trade fair

P+R car parks on the outskirts of the city

In addition to the paid car parks, there are also free car parks on the outskirts of the city that you can use.
