What is a counter?

A counter is a counter at trade fairs. The counter at trade fairs and events is also known as an information desk or information stand.

What are the tasks of a counter?

On a Counter the info hostesses are used by the hostess team. Also the Chief hostesswho has a lot of responsibility at an event, can occasionally be found at the information desk. The hostesses at the counter are a central point of contact for visitors and stand owners at the event. The following tasks are performed by the staff at the information desk:

  • Among other things, they provide information on where special exhibition stands can be found.
  • There is information about the organisation of an event.
  • Site plans, brochures and much more are provided.

A counter is often labelled with a large "I" as an information stand so that customers can quickly find the point of contact without having to search for a long time.

How important is an information desk?

Due to the fact that the Counter a central point of contact, it is of great importance. Visitors to a Trade fair like to contact the information staff to find their way around more quickly or to obtain information. After all, nobody wants to spend a long time searching for a specific stand at a large trade fair.
