Infohostess

What is an Infohostess?

One Infohostess is a contact person at trade fairs and events. She provides guests at the event with important information about the Event. An information hostess is available at the information desks.

What are the tasks of an infohostess?

Infohostesses must be able to communicate well, as they have to provide visitors with relevant information at information stands and information desks at trade fairs and events. The main tasks of the info hostess are

  • Supervision of the information desk
  • Answering customer questions at the information desk
  • Welcoming and receiving guests
  • Guide guests to a specific destination

Info hostesses do not always have to guide the guests to their destinations. This is discussed in advance with the organizer, for which areas the Infohostess is categorized.

What requirements does an infohostess need to meet?

There are a few requirements that hostesses must meet. A well-groomed appearance (neat hairstyle, well-groomed fingernails, some make-up and a proper business Outfit) is one of the most important requirements in this area. No Gos (if exaggerated) are at most events:

  • Piercings and tattoos
  • other body jewelry

At serious trade fairs and events and the best jobs as host/hostesses such things are usually not desired, which of course depends heavily on the event. If it is an event about body art and body jewelry, it is of course something else.

To become an Infohostess, you need to be friendly, helpful and confident as well as professional. The Personnel must be communicative and should preferably have a good command of English due to international visitors. Other foreign languages are also welcome.

It is also important that applicants have already reached the age of 18. Some organizers also specify a minimum height. Hostesses with a slim figure are generally preferred.
