When the Port of Hamburg celebrates its birthday and a christening takes place, the whole of Hamburg turns upside down! More than a million people came to the 827th Port Birthday, where the cruise ship companies AIDA & COSTA also presented themselves.
The following were supported AIDA & COSTA by hostesses, promoters, walking acts and helping hands from TRUST Promotion. In perfect sunshine, they stood ready in promotional tents and presented AIDA & COSTA information, appeared as a walking act (mascots), gave advice on cruises, welcomed the guests and looked after the guests at the AIDA evening event. The logistics support team was also on hand wherever help was needed.
Not only were there many visitors - TRUST Promotion was also present and active at many different locations for AIDA & Costa: At the same time, promoters & co. were deployed in the beach club, in Hafencity, in various hotels and in the bus parking lot - while the evening event in Clouds was already being prepared in the background.
This means communication and precision for everyone - so that everyone can rely on each other. The success of the project was also based on a detailed Briefing in advance!

The absolute highlight for guests, customers and hostesses alike was the christening of the new AIDAprima on Saturday, May 7, 2016. TRUST Promotion supported the festivities on board with 24 hostesses and service staff.
The AIDAprima is the youngest ship from AIDA Cruises and the eleventh in the fleet. The guests were welcomed on board the AIDA from 11.30 am. After show acts in the afternoon, dinner on board followed in the evening (4-course menu by celebrity chef Tim Mälzer). At eight o'clock the ship started its harbor tour in the port of Hamburg.
At 9 p.m., things got exciting for everyone: after young actress Emma Schweiger had greeted the waiting visitors together with the captain, she spoke the ceremonial words: "You beautiful ship, I christen you with the name AIDAprima. I wish you and your guests a safe voyage at all times and always a hand's breadth of water under your keel", and dropped the champagne onto the ship (at the touch of a button).
Most of the hosts and hostesses also experienced this festive moment - but then the hustle and bustle continued, as the guests naturally wanted to toast the christening and were quickly supplied with champagne. Meanwhile, visitors to the harbor birthday enjoyed an elaborate light show outside. This brought the AIDA to life for the spectators, followed by a 15-minute firework display and a furious final concert by numerous ship's stereos. At 0.15 a.m., the AIDAprima finally set sail for its maiden voyage.
TRUST Promotion would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this unique event - In total, we worked together for over 100 man-days to ensure that the AIDA christening guests had a successful evening and that AIDA & COSTA presented themselves perfectly at the Hafengeburtstag.
