What is operational support?

Every project must be properly supervised, for which there is a corresponding project or Operational support gives. Operational support deals specifically with the Personnelwhich is used during an action.

Who is responsible for operational support?

A project manager appointed in advance is responsible for supervising the assignment. In the area of Trade fair and Event This can either be a project manager of the event and promotion agency's client, or a project manager appointed by the Agency employees. For example, if a large number of hostesses are required for a trade fair or other event a head hostess is appointed to plan and control the deployment of staff in this area.

What tasks are included in operational support?

Project managers and head hostesses have a job with great responsibility and must ensure that the event runs smoothly. The Operational support is responsible for the following matters:

  • Checking the Punctuality of the personnel at the site
  • Monitoring compliance with working hours and break times
  • Achievement of the agreed target
  • Recruitment in the event of illness

The operations support team has a lot to do, especially if it is a large project with several employees. Good availability is essential, as it is sometimes necessary to react quickly. This is particularly necessary when staff are absent at short notice and other hosts/hostesses or promoters have to be called upon.
